Discovering A New Exorcist

Thadd finished his sandwich with a satisfied look (think, Konata from Lucky-Star ). "Well I appreciate it..." He turned and smiled at Lenalee...he'd obviously grown a bit more comfortable around her, but he'd obviously spaced out otherwise Thadd probably would have blushed at that moment.

"Well...when did you plan to leave? I'm following your schedule and lead after all." His words weren't rude or prodding, just normal questions.

Thaddaeus nodded, "Alright then...well...what do we do until we need to head to the station at noon?" He tilted his head slightly laying it back on the table lazily. His hair glimmering from the outside light shining through the window and glistening off of the bright color that was his natural hair.

Thadd blinked. "P-Poker? ....a Card game?!" He grimaced..."Um...I'm not all that great at cards..." Now this wasn't so much of a lie as it was him under-estimating himself. Even if you try to get by on honest livings, not everyone is 'honest' and thus you have to learn tricks of the trade to survive. Thus despite what he said, he wasn't half bad.

Thadd sat up and scratched behind his head shyly. "R-Right..." He leaned back over the chair to crack his back and stretch, which allowed him to discover that the shirt Lenalee bought for him wasn't as long as he though...because as he leaned over backwards in his stretch, the shirt had been pulled up revealing a bit. And as he realized this he blushed holding the shirt down quickly.

Thadd blinked, "Um? is it a problem? It's not like I'd do anything he needs to worry about." Thaddaeus looked at her with an innocent curiosity. Though he had no idea just HOW strict her brother was....err...protective....

Thaddaeus blinked. "Erm...okay...wow..." this Shizu person sounded a bit wierd, and her brother had to be the craziest protective brother he'd ever even heard of. But he continued to exchange conversation with her, slowly becoming more and more comfortable, until they reached the train station. "Our train should be here any minute I guess..."

Thaddaeus blinked, "Maybe...no promises...and don't hold it against me if I'm not fond of him." He looked out the window briefly before looking back at her. One minute he'd be minding his buisness on the rooftops of germany, the next he was joining an exorcist order...Life would change majorly.

"Don't worry. I'm sure you'll at least learn to understand him a little. He shows his real self so rarely... He'd really hate me for telling this, but the reason for his behaviour is all in his eyes, that he keeps closed most of the time. They are painful to look at so he's protecting us when he keeps them closed." Lenalee said and smiled. "But now, how about that round of poker?" She asked and took the deck from her bag, smiling.

Thaddaeus nodded....Time passed as they played cards...he'd been caught pulling some moves similar to Allen, and occassionally not caught...but Thadd and Lenalee were fairly well matched, considering her tricks from Allen and Thadd's experiance in trying to earn cash and pay off small debts. "How long have we been playing now?" He'd lost track of the time and the place, time flys when your distracted.

"I was packed the moment you met me...." This wasn't him trying to be rude, so much as point out he was already ready...though it didn't exactly come out the way he meant it to.

Wait...how did I just say that?....that could be taken a few different ways...oops

Thaddaeus was blushing again from embarressment, "I-It's alright...it all sorta came out of my mouth all at once so I guess it must've sounded wierd." Thadd was looking out the window in an attempt to hide his red face. She has a nice laugh.....Wha?! Why did i just think that?! that was SO wierd!! C'mon get ahold of yourself...

"Right now it looks like you'll get along with Lavi really good. Or at least i hope so." "Lenalee said and laughed. The train stopped and they got out. Lenalee stretched a little and they went to buy some more snacks and walking around town."Sure looks like a nice town don't you think" Lenalee asked and looked at Thaddeus.

Thaddaeus researched the town in a simple glance around, "If you ask me, they seem to have been lacking the will to repair things for what appears to be at least 2 and a half years. But their sense of technolagy seems to be fairly well off. The prices are kept at a profitable yet reasonble rate. This place looks like it could hold a population of around...hmm..." Thadd's eyes wandered to the sky as he attempted to calculate or at least estimate in his head. It was an interesting sight to see, the wind blowing through his hair, his thoughtful face glowing at the sun. He seemed calm, relaxed even...his serious expression showed that he wasn't all talk and revealed some of his more knowledgeable side. "The residents would be around...150-200, and the actual populative rate might be near 500 or so. If they were to be invaded they'd be in serious trouble, the odd house patterns put the homes too close together and the street structure would make traversing or charging an enemy difficult...I mean unless they can leap tall buildings like you..."

This side wasn't commonly shown...if he took the time, Thadd could adapt to his sorroundings by thinking of different scenarios, possibilities, vantage and dis-advantage points. If it weren't for the fact that they were much more skilled and knew more areas than he did. Thaddaeus could ALMOST be mistaken for a researcher or bookman. But he wasn't, nor was he even near that skill level in taking in information...he was more of the...'adapt by experiance/as you go' kind of guy.

Eeh...? You know all that just by looking? Your sure full of surprises. Thats just amazing, Thadd-kun!" Lenalee said and smiled, patting Thaddeus's shoulder. "Should we return to the trainstation? The train will leave in about-"Lenalee was cut off by an explosion. It was caused by an akuma. Actually... There were about 20 level ones and two level twos."Akuma...?! Inocence, activate!" Lenalee said. The blue light shined and she jumped,s tarting to destrroy the level ones.

Thaddaeus grimaced, "Akuma....ai...." Thadd ran towards a building near the middle of the cloud of bullet showering akuma. "Awaken, Shizuka and Hayai, and bring the dark with you!" Despite not knowing what it meant...saying this seemed to activate his second level, and as he ran up the wall with ease he held his blades by handles rather than by chains. Leaping off with a large momentus backflip, landed square on an akuma, tearing it in half with his blade while throwing his other one across the sky to stick into an akuma's face. Then leaping off of an airborne demon, using a swift kick and momentum...sent it flying down into the ground while he took hold of the thrown blade and tore the victim akuma to shreds.

Thaddaeus nodded and allowed his blades to dissappear yet again..."Perhaps we should get to the station...unless these Akuma have a specific target?" By target Thadd meant Lenalee, himself, or one of those glowing innocence cube-thingies.

Perhaps that would be the smartest thing to do? just get on a train and leave? but something tells me she has different ideas on what to do.
