Cole grimaced angrily around. He was having a bit of trouble on his mission. His partner had stayed at the last town for awhile so he could scout the southern road that day, and check for signs of the innocence they sought. It always seemed that the strangest things in the report happened nearer the south of the town. Now, a few miles down the road, he was getting frustrated. He had been going for awhile now, and the gray clouds above weren't helping his mood. Of course, while the clouds were bothersome, the more pressing problem was the spherical, cannon-covered Level one Akuma that were now surounding him. Hell... These idiots are going to make this take even longer than it already is... He thought.

Cole glanced around, wondering who would make the first move. Somewhere, a cannon creaked into position. The tension was broken by the small noise, and Cole attacked quickly. "Innocence, Activate!" He called, his glove glowing as it turned into a clawed gaunlet, before using the fingers to slash through the nearest akuma before all hell broke loose and the shooting began. Jumping into the air to avoid the bulk of the akuma bullets, he blocked a few that had been fired higher than the rest with his gauntlet, swearing his head off as he fell back down to earth, landing heavily on his side, and wincing, staring up at the cannons leveled at him at nearly point blank range.

Sira had been doing as she pleased in town all morning. While it was a small country town, with no major cities or other landmarks nearby, she enjoyed the quaint atmosphere and familiar streets. It felt like a homey place, reminding her of her parents. But, around noon, she began to get angry with Cole. He had been gone a long time since he had left, and the town had lost some of it's charm now that she had been around it more than twice. So, setting out down the south road, she sighed, feeling depressed. She had been at the black Order for about three weeks, and they worked fast. First, she had told them how her parents had dissapeared directly after the akuma had shot. They had informed her that her parents were probably dead, explaining that the remains would have been destroyed by the Akuma's poison. Soon after, Komui and Hevlaska had both figured out that her innocence's trigger was anger, and she had begun being sent out on missions. This was her third mission. She had failed to activate her innocence durring the first two missions, so she had been asked if there was anyone who particularly pissed her off. And so she had been Stuck with Cole as her partner.

She sighed as a distant exploding noise returned her to reality. Looking ahead, she saw a large group of Akuma, and high above and deflecting bullets, a small figure with a black cloak. "Idiot," she snarled. "Always acting out like this." In responce to the mix of annoyance and true anger, she felt the gun Twitch in her pocket and drew it before running down the road towards the small army of Akuma. She too now possessed a black and silver exorcist uniform, which flapped out behind her as she ran. Once she was close enough, she took a running jump, trying to get herself over the akuma to join Cole where he had fallen in the middle of the circle. She realized that she wasn't going to clear the akuma with her jump, and that last bit of frustration pushed her weapon to fully activate, turning from a deringer to a long barrelled ornate red-wood pistol. Raising the gun, she fired two shots, destroying the Akuma in front of her, and flying over it's body to join Cole in the middle of the circle, Immediately opening fire on the akuma around her.

"You are the most foolish, idiotic person I have ever met! You're the only one who could possibly get this many enemies all in one place and lose spectacularly!" She ranted as she fought, using her rant to boost her anger to make sure the gun didn't deactivate prematurely.

((Theorectically I'm a Noah which makes it ok for me to enter, but my abilities is still in
construction therefore I won't use them
. and since I'm new no ones knows I'm a Noah,
right? hee-hee! Meet Christian Nightwish~
edit:Seems like my abilities r approved. I can use them if i wish now))

A sudden bump against the ship caused by the churning waves caused the young, ragged boy to stir
from his sleep. "Mmm, where...?" Christian opened his eyes by a creak and squinted around, taking
in his surroundings. Around him, crates, parcels and sacks lay in a dusty wooden room packed with
such. Ah...recent memories started up within Christian's mind and he realized why he was here.

It had been what, 7. 8? days since he had been freed from the Earl. Upon hearing that a rare ship at
the Outskirts of Japan would be heading West, Christian had seized the opportunity to hide among the
for a ride. Where in the West exactly? He didn't know and didn't care- as long as he reached the Black
Order, everything would be fine. and since the Black Order was in the West, he figured travelling in the
general direction was close enough.

Another shake caused Chris' head to bump against the ship yet again. "I-tai tai tai~" He winced,
rubbing his head and now completely awake. "...A-re? Why is it so quiet?" Normally the ship was a rowdy
place, full of busy sailors by day and beer-swigging party animals by night. Straining his ears, Christian
could hear a distant sound. "Kolewa... This is...cannons!? Don't tell me...pirates!!!"

Dashing out of the cargo store, Christian's worst suspicions were confirmed. They were cannons alright-
AKUMA cannons.

"Are you kidding me!?" Christian groaned exasperatedly, arching one brow up. Akumas didn't recognise him as
a Noah-he would be killed like the rest of the crew, Christian noted as he looked around at the battered ship and
the clothes among piles of dirty white dust.

One Lv1 noticed Christian and aimed its long cannons at him. Oh no you don't, Christian swore as he leapt from
a barrahe of missiles and dived into the choppy waves. Salty water filled his mouth, which he tried to spit out
futilely in distaste. Making for land, Chris began swimming like his life depended on it (and it probably did).

Reaching shore dripping wet like a dog, Chris was dismayed to see a couple of Lvl 1s hot on his heels. Damn, Christian
swore to himself again. I'm not gonna waste time with you freaks, so seeya! Running towards the southern part of the
town with the Akuma on his tail, Christian set off at a sprint. Let's see...Christian saw two figures some blocks away. Well,
misery loves company. Heading for the pair, he yelled out "Hey you guys over there-"

[OOC: Don't worry, Cole hasn't even heard of Noah before. And Sira's new, so she shouldn't know about em' either.]

Cole had, seeing death near, closed his eyes, determined to die the way he had lived, i.e., in a near comotose sleep. He was roused by the sound of a gun firing. Not an Akuma's gun, but something smaller. He was about to warn whoever it was to just run away since normal weapons would do nothing to the huge killing machines, when the one immeadiately in front of him was killed, and Sira flew in over it's body, landing next to him, holding the same long barrelled pistol that she had been threatening Tyrrell with when he first met her. "So you managed to activate your weapon, huh? Great." He called over the sound of shooting as nearly all the akuma around them were cut down.

Determined to do his part, Cole jumped high in the air, landing on top of one of the akuma before punching his gauntlet directly through it's head. As it collapsed into toxic dust beneath him, he caught a glimps of more akuma coming towards them, seemingly chasing somone. "Sira, we should probably move," He said, alnding beside her. "It looks like there is some guy getting chased by akuma over there, and this many akuma dying in one place isn't good. All this poison might kill us if we stay." He spoke, before taking a single deep breath and charging through the wall of smoke and fumes into the gray light of the day. Seeing the man being chased more clearly now, he sped forwards towards him.

Sira blinked at Cole. When she had spoken to him before when she had arrived at the Black Order, he had been flirtatious to the point of annoyance, and that had pissed her off. Now, he was acting serious, actually calling her by her name instead of 'Beautifull.' Any other time, the change would've been welcome, but now, in the midst of battle she needed him to make her angry so her innocence could stay activated. She was only a bit annoyed by his sudden change, as she actually prefferred it, though it had happened at the wrong time, so she couldn't draw much anger from that. Of course, when he ditched her, running away from her through the smoke with barely a word of warning, that pissed her off again. "Jerk, just running off like that..." She muttered.

Charging out after him, she saw the Akuma, and the figure being chased, and sped up to catch up with him. She estimated that, as she was slower than Cole, and with the headstart he had gotten on her, she would reach gun-range about the same time that Cole would reach the group. Judging the distance, she skidded to a halt, taking aim at one of the akuma, and pulling the trigger, still a bit unaccustomed to the loud blast of the gun.

Chrisrtian looked up long enough to see one of the two,a pretty girl about his height and age ,
raise a ridiculously long gun and take aim. Instinctively he threw himself to the ground just as a
loud gunshot rang out, and overhead one of the Level Ones exploded into debris and scrap.

The other of the pair, a young cream-blond European clad in a black and white coat, leapt over him and
attacked the Akumas, his right hand seemingly replace by a claw of dark liquid metal. "What the...?" Chris
wondered in astonishment, now being able to take a good look at both of them up close.

Both sported the same black and white-styled uniform with a silver cross over their right breast, a cross
that was of the Vatican. The girl fired with a large, stunningly red long barreled handgun, her
refined features twisted with dark anger. The boy fought off the Akuma in an almost lazy fashion,
the claw in his hand glistening dangerously with black akuma blood.

No way...masaka...Exorcist...?,Christian's eyes flared for a second, his mouth pulled back in a sick
grin. What luck! To find not one Exorcist, but two so soon...and never at a better time. But for now
Christian's interests were more in staying out of trouble. Scampering out of imminent danger, he played
the role of an unnerved victim easily enough, since he was a victim here.

Cole was shocked, flinching as the first shot from Sira sped above him, destroying the first Akuma. Speeding up, he jumped over the man who was being chased, and began his own attack, fighting the akuma with a mixture of slashes, punches and blocks using his Innocence. With a final few blows, he finished the last enemy off with a karate chop-like motion, using the razor edged claws to slice directly through the tough machine's exterior. With a final flourish, he landed easily on his feet, slashing his weapon to the side to dislodge most of the akuma blood on it, at the same time deactivating his weapon. This cool ending to a somewhat easy fight was marred as a large glop of Akuma blood splattered across his back as the carcass fell with a crash.

He glanced at Sira, sure that she would have something to say about his idiotic ending, but he decided to cute her off before she could start. "Ah, man, Komui's gonna kill me if the jacket gets ruined." He sighed, before starting in on Sira. "What kind of aim was that just now? A few inches lower and My head would be all over the ground." he said huffily, folding his arms and staring accusingly at her, hoping that the sudden accusation would take her mind off the unglorious ending to his fight.

Sira, firing from a distance while slowly advancing, glared at Cole between shots, thinking of all the things she could about him that made her angry. He was a flirtatious person, then the only time she actually needed her to be a stupid flirtatious fool, he'd picked that moment to get serious, and now he was disregarding her completely, and fighting as if he were on his own without a partner at all. A vein pulsed in her temple as her blood pressure spiked. She was in her zone, she was furious. Aside from it being neccesary to activate her innocence, she felt that the savage feelings in her body helped her fight better, and as a novice fighter at best, she needed all the help she could get.

Catching up with Cole and the wreckage of the Akuma just in time to see him be splattered in akuma blood. She grinned, anger fading at the funny sight. She didn't try to stop the emotion, after all, the enemies were gone. She opened her mouth to comment on it, but was cut off as he began whining about Komui, then reprimanding her. The anger was back immediately, and her weapon, which had begun to revert, came to full life again. "I'm supposed to be taking advice from somone who can't hit an enemy without ruining their clothes? Idiot." She spoke angrily.

Turning away from Cole, she looked over at Christian. The last of her anger faded at the site of the aparently nervous young man, who looked possibly her own age, give or take a couple years. "Sorry about that, are you alright?" She said, her voice showing concern now as she slipped her weapon, now fully returned to its deringer form, back into her pocket. Wonder what he's doing out here anyway. Is he from the town? She thought, frowning in confusion.

Christian's eyes danced with amusement as he watched the Large gun shrink to the size of a keychain
till it could be pocketed and the metal claw retract into an odinary looking glove. That is...an Anti-
Akuma Weapon...,he thought.

Watching the two squabbling friendly like a married couple, he chuckled silently. Exorcists, ne? They
were both youths around his age, the pretty, tall girl with golden shoulder-length hair and the taller, young
and lanky boy with mild features and a cheery air about him. Looks like Exorcist were still normal people
after all...perhaps.

"Sorry about that, are you alright?"

The girl's tone was a world different from just a few seconds ago, changing from furious to concerned. Caught
off guard, Chris blinked blankly."Eh...A-re?"

Picking himself up from the ground (and stumbling a little), he grinned sheepishly, pushing the long black hair
hanging over his ear out of the way. "Ah...hi?" his voice was mellow and unsure. "Ano...thank you so much
for helping me, you guys were a real lifesaver!" Laughing shortly, he then paused and looked around. "Um, by the\
way...Where am I? Who are you guys? What is going on?"

Cole winced at Sira's comment, frowning at her, annoyed. "That was just an unfortunate bit of bad luck." He said defensively. "And you're supposed to take my advice because I've been in this buisness for ten years. A whopping ten years longer than you've been doing it, Beautiful." He added 'Beautiful' on the end just because he knew it would make her mad. He was a bit suprised by Sira's sudden calmness towards the guy they had just saved. It was almost scary how quickly she had just shifted from furious to concerned and sympathetic. Cole looked up to the sky, as if praying for patience. He would never figure out Sira. Was it just him that she was angry with all the time? She was perfectly friendly to strangers, it seemed. He shot Christian a jealous glance.

He stopped thingking about Sira and her many moods when Christian started responding to Sira's question. "You betcha. Saving lives, souls, and whatever else is kind of our job." he chuckled. "And, in order, We're in Southern Italy, I'm Cole Shenson, this is my partner Sira, we're Exorcists, and you were being chased by demons." He said in one breath, grinning. The explanation was always confusing to people who hadn't been formally introduced to the war. Wonder how much of that he actually understood... He thought, smiling.

Sira shot Cole a venomous glance as he started speaking again. Couldn't he let anything go? Did he laways have to have the last word? Gritting her teeth, she turned back towards Christian, freezing as Cole began telling her why hse had to listen to him. Much as she rebbelled against the idea of listening to her flirtatious, annoying partner, she knew he was more experienced, and his point was valid. She was still new to the whole Exorcist thing, she barely understood the concept of innocence even. Then, however, Cole pushed her over the edge by calling her beautifull one more time. "You stupid, stupid kid!" She hissed angrily, veins craking in her temples and fire flaring in her eyes. "Do you want me to clock you again?" She said angrily, raising a clenched fist into plain view.

Once again, she erased the anger in her voice before turning to address Christian again, though a vein was still throbbing in tempo with her hearbeat in her temple. "My idiot partner summed it up pretty well. Like he said, I'm Sira. So, what's your name?" She asked, eyes blinking innocently as she waited expectantly for an answer, the throbbing vein slowly dissapearing.

Wiping the seawater off his pants, Christian took Sira's hand tentatively and gave a little shake.

"Haha...my name is Christian Nightwish. I'm from..." he cocked his head slightly, thinking hard.
"A-re? I don't really remember. Oh well, I came here from Asia onboard a ship, but those things
you'd just killed attacked us and I kinda had to swim here...haha...which explains the wet clothes."

Chris gestured at himself. He wore kakhi long pants which reached to his heels, folded over several
times. The wet white shirt was damp and nearing see-through; luckily he had a light brown jumper on
to hide his well-maintained body from any suspicious stares. A golden ring glistened in his left ear and a
silver one on his right. Christian's dark hair was matted like a dog because of his swim. His skin was
pale to a luminous standard, glistening with several beads of water, and his eyes were the hue of a
dying ember.

"So...you guys are, like heroes of justice and these are the bad guys, huh? That's so cool!!! A-no...
Cole and Sira, yes? I'm glad to meet you!" Chris bowed deeply, sending droplets of water in the air.
"Do y'all do this stuff everyday? Killing the....Akuma and such. ....which reminds me, is that suppossed
to be happening?"

Christian pointed innocently behind them at a dark mass of metal and static pulling Akuma carcasses
into it, growing bigger by the second. Soon, a large Fusion Level One Akuma rose, covering them in a
black shadow, so tall it looked like it was touching the overcast sky...

Cole shot Sira an appraising glance. "You caught me off gaurd before, that's all. Without your innocence, you have no chance of landing a blow on me, beautiful." He said calmly, settling back into his habit of calling her beautiful instead of Sira. He raised an eyebrow as he was reffered to by Sira as her idiot partner. "You're not gonna make this partner thing easy, are you?" he said, sighing heavily, before listening to Christian's words. "Haha, I guess..." He said, a bit embarrassed by Christian's description of their job. "But we don't do this everyday. I need some downtime, to sleep, eat, and sleep." He chuckled. That was pretty much his whole life at base. That and missions, plus the occaisional training session, though those were few and far between.

He blinked as Christian pointed behind him, and turned around. His expression remained pretty much the same as he watched the akuma become a giant, though his eyes widened slightly. He gave a low whistle of amazement as he stared up at it. "That's a new one for me." He said, sounding a bit amused. "Hopefully it's not too strong, this mission has alredy lasted longer than I wanted it to." He muttered. Innocence, Activate! He thought, his glove becoming the heavy gauntlet once more. Jumping forwards, he hurled himself high into the air, straiking at it as hard as he could with the clawed fingers of the gauntlet. The fingers dug in near the collarbone, then slashed down to the Akuma's waist. Landing, he studied his handy work. "Wow, this might be a bit difficult." He said, suprised as he stared at the long, shallow wound he had scored on it. It was barely a fleshwound.

Sira rolled her eyes at Cole. "Technically, if I managed to catch you off gaurd again I could land a hit. Or I could just use my innocence anyway. i can activate it on a dime right now since you're pissing me off so much." She said, her voice suprisingly calm, as judging by the vein beating a tatoo on her temple, she was furious. she shot him a death glare at his next words. "No, I'm not making this easy! It's not like you're the best partner I could have gotten." She fumed, cracking her knuckles. She listened to Cole as he talked with Christian, rolling her eyes again. "Could you possibly be any lazier?" She mutterred under her breath.

She glanced at Christian in Confusion before looking behind her, and nearly fainting. So far she had only seen basic level one Akuma, so this was shocking. "What is that?" She asked nobody in particular, drawing the deringer from her pocket. When Cole revealed it was something he had never seen before, she swore angrily, at the same time activating her weapon. "Yeah, I can see ten years in the Order haven't been wasted on you." She said sarcasticly. She was shocked by how little Cole's attack did. "Alright idiot, I'll hsow you how to do it!" She yelled, still mad at Cole. She aimed, shooting several shots towards the large akuma's head.

"That isn't good, is it?" Christian was catching on slowly.

Watching the two Exorcist attacking the Akuma, Christian noted that their level of attacks left only
indents in the Fusion akuma's upgraded armor. "Now that isn't too good either..."

The great Akuma let out a bone-chilling scream, wrenching itself from the ground and into the air,
mechanical whirring coming from it. It began charging its numerous cannons together into a large
purplish-pink energy ball. "Nope, definitely not good at all. Well, I'm gonna...um...stay out of
you guys' way Okay? Like, in a different country or something..." With that, Christian hurriedly dashed
out of harm's way.

The Fusion Akuma let out a orb of energy into the air, which seperated into a deadly volley of AKuma
bullets that rained down upon Cole and Sira. Its attack was merciless and relentless, unforgiving and
it seemed that there was no escape....

-meanwhile-

Chris looked around for a safe spot to enjoy the battle between 'good' and 'evil'. Picking a one of the
cottages on the southern area of the city, he tried the door. It was not locked. Quickly he opened it...
and instantly got sucked to the ground. What the...? Chris stared around, bewildered. The inside of the
house showed no abnormality, other than a faint distortion in the air as if from a heat vent. What's going
on...?Christian Nightwish wondered as he made a fruitless attempt to remove himself from the ground.

((yes, you guessed it. I stumbled into the Innocence paranorma world. enjoy the level one guys~))

Cole, watching Sira's failed attack attempt, heard Christian. "No, this is definately not good." He agreed, watching the akuma. I've never seen something like this before... He thought, staring at it, wondering if any of his and Sira's attacks had a possibility to harm it. It he could ger up to it's throat, and manage to stay there long enough to complete the many slashes it would take to cut off it's head, that would probably work, but there was no way that he could think of for him to get up and stay up at that hight for the amount of time that would take. "Sira, do you have any ideas how to kill this thing? 'Cause I've only got one idea, and it might be impossible, so I'm open to suggestions." He said hopefully, staring up at the large figure towering over them. He watched Christian Run away with a relieved sigh. This was going to be hard enough without having to protect somone.

Returning his attention to the Akuma, he swore loudly as he noticed the multiple glowing cannons just before they opened fire. "Crap, Sira!" He yelled, diving towards her, skidding to a halt in front of her and raising his gauntlet in front of him as the bullets hit. He had been panicking because Sira didn't have a way to defend against Akuma bullets, and there were too many to dodge. He began to feel the impacts on the forearm of his gauntlet. As soon as the barrage was over, he dropped to one knee, panting and gazing at his gauntlet. The sleeve of his Exorcist Jacket was in tatters, exposing the whole gauntlet, and some of his upper arm. "Are you alright, Sira?" He panted, twisting to look over his shoulder for Sira.

Sira continued plugging away, firing uselessly up at the Akuma's head. No, this is really not a good thing. My bullets aren't doing anything. She thought, mentally agreeing with Cole and Christian. The giant akuma was unlike the level ones, and seemingly invincible. Their attacks were doing minor damage at best, and there wasn't a way for Cole to get up to a place where his attacks could actually do any damage, since his slashing attacks seemed to do more damage than her piercing bullet attacks did. She stopped firing when he looked to her for ideas. "You're asking me?! How should I know, you're the experienced idiot here!" She yelled angrily, before resuming firing. "Whatever your idea is, it's all we've got!" She yelled.

A second later the guns of the Akuma fired. Sira realized she couldn't block the attack, and there were far too many bullets too dodge. Remembering what they had told her, about Akuma poison dissolving bodies, she shivered, turning away from the bullets and falling into a crouch with her hands over her ears. And then the bullets were all around her, it seemed like the world was exploding. She didn't realize that Cole was blocking the bullets so they weren't hitting her until her shoe bumped into something behind her. Turning, she saw Cole standing there, his back facing her. "Cole..." She said, concern in her voice. As the shooting was over, she got to her feet, flinching as Cole fell to one knee. "Cole! Are you alright?" She asked urgently, grabbing his shoulder and looking at him. He seemed somewhat unfocused, just staring at his gauntlet.

(( *clap clap* you guys synchro realli well. I mean it. Cool ))

The Akuma reared up for a second assault, its pasty demonic face contorted in an emotion that could
be rage or grief, depending how you looked at it. Sparks flew from its cut and shot areas, and stray
wires protuded from beneath its cracked armor like maggots from a wound. Slowly but surely,
its cannon started gathering power once more...

*******

"This sucks."

Christian was still lying on the floor. First he had to take a swim, then he got caught in some strange
power and as a bonus he didn't get to see the battle outside.

Frowning, Christian scrutinized the room before him. There was nobody around- but the room itself
seemed untouched, furniture and such neatly arranged. There was no sign of any struggle. Frustratingly
he couldn't spot anything abnormal.

What a pain in the ass...,Christian grumbled silently. Taking in a short breath, he activated his Noah.

Almost immediately a wound burst open on his left shoulder, sending blood spattering over his shirt. He
would have to remember to hide the cross wound with the jumper...

<Energy Control> Without lifting a finger, Christian sent weak waves of Noah energy emanating
across the room. Sure enough, the Innocence reacted violently against his negative energy, spitting out some
blue static in objection. Majority of the sparks came from a small vase standing upon a shelf.

Having found a target, Christian strained to aim properly with his finger, holding it unsteadily as he battled
against the Innocence's pull for control. <Aqua Control> Christian summoned vapor from
the air to his hand. "Hydro Burst" A jet of highly concentrated water sped from his hand,
striking the vase dead on and shattering it into a million porcelain pieces.

The effect was instantaneous. Christian's world spun as space was sucked into a vortex, causing him to spiral around
the room. Oh great, Christian thought as he tried to shake off a headache, more trouble...

Cole glanced at Sira with slightly unfocused eyes. He wasn't sure if he was actually hurt, but he felt rather shell shocked. After standing in the path of what seemed to be a few hundred oversized bullets, feeling the impact through his feet, and many stronger impacts directly on his gauntletted arm. Ah, there it is! He thought, wincing as a sudden lance of pain shot through his arm. Those bullets are more powerfull than a normal level one... Under the gauntlet, he could feel that his arm was pretty messed up. It felt almost like it had been put through a mill. He had at least bruised, if not broken the bone beneathe the metal. He groaned, before looking at Sira with more focussed eyes. "I, or rather my arm, can't take another attack like that. We're gonna have to finish it, or at least incapacitate it pretty quickly, before it can fire again. I can do an attack that'll hopefully bring it to the ground. Once it's on the ground, I need you to do anything you can to keep it there. Kill it if you get a chance."

He turned to the Collosal Akuma, and swore. The guns were already charging for a second assault. "Here we go, Sira!" He called, charging the Akuma, hurling himself into the air, and drawing back his Gauntlet, focusing his energy at the palm of his innocence. The palm began to glow a bright blue-white color, and he struck towards the Akuma with the palm of his weapon. "Requiem Funeral!" He yelled. If the attack hit, the energy from his gauntlet would be transferred to the Akuma, overrunning it and forcing it to the ground, and granting them a chance to take it's head. He glanced over his hsoulder at Sira. If he couldn't land this attack, he knew that he was already too far away for him to get back to in time to protect from another volley of bullets, assuming that his arm could take the strain. Gotta make this one count... He thought, focusing his eyes back on the Akuma.

Sira stared at Cole, concern very evident in her eyes. He seemed unresponsive, and she started nervously when he winced. Can he even move? She thought, crouching down to get on eye level with him. She gave a small sigh of relief as soon as she saw his eyes come back into focuss. If he was concious, he couldn't be hurt too badly. He groaned, and she frowned. he was certainly concious, but he seemed to be in quite a bit of pain. She flinched as quite suddenly Cole started speaking. She gazed at his gauntlet, raising an eyebrow. It really wasn't built for recieving powerfull attacks. The single plate that gaurded his fore arm would equally disperse the power of an attack all along the metal plate. It was perfect for taking the 'Oomf' out of a level one's attack, but something powerfull like this, when the power was distributed evenly, simply did large damage to the entire arm. Sira winced at the thought of how many blows like that he must have just taken to protect her.

"Are you sure you can do this?" She asked, but even before she was done asking the question, he was on his way attacking. She gazed up, her gaze following Cole as he leaped, fixed on his innocence as it began to glow. Wow, I wonder what that does, thought Sira. Remembering she was supposed to be ready to attack as soon as the Akuma fell, she quickly charged, her weapon raised and ready.

Akuma is still charging. Rolling Eyes

******

Christian could see the origin of the chaos now. It was a small, black vortex that spun the room around, creating
distortion and confusion. The great power tossed Christian around like a ragdoll in a heavy storm. Quickly,
Christian formulated an impromptu plan. <Energy Control> Steadying himself in the maelstorm's strength,
Christian forcibly relinquished control of his surroundings. <Wind Control> Summoning the essence of
life itself to aid him, Chris blasted himself forward, propelled by a great wind, reaching for the eye of the storm.

Energy crackled in the air as it resisted for a split second, before a bright flash as Chris enclosed his fingers over a
small, hard object.

As things returned to normal, save for a few broken floorboards, Christian let out a tiny sigh and opened his hands,
allowing a bright, blinding light that filled him with awe to illuminate the room. After a few seconds, the bright light
subsided, leaving a jewelled, intricately patterned beetle in the palm of his hand.

Even though Christian Nightwish had never encountered one before, he recognised it immediately for what it was-
Innocence.

Fondling the smooth carapace of the small accessory in his fingers absently, the 17-year old wondered what to do.
Destroy it? Certainly, the Noah power within him was itching to do just that. He could feel the energy residing in him
well up, screaming at him to destroy the Innocence in his grasp. Then again...

OOC: Okay, I wanna finish things off quick here so we can proceed with the plot of this little topic.

Cole, reaching about the Akuma's shin at the hight of his jump now, slammed his energy laden weapon directly into it's shin. It wouldn't matter where he struck the akuma, as long as he landed a hit, his attack would work. Immediately he felt the energy flow from the gauntlet to the akuma, Covering it in a bright blue-white aura, that acted like a gravitational field, pulling it's massive body to the ground. Immediately, he jumped over it's tall frame, slashing and pounding away at the machines throat with his innocence, teeth bared in a feral snarl as he pushed himself to his limits, nearly yelling with pain as each strike forced the broken bones in his arm to grind against each other unpleasantly. He delivered a final, great slash, and the massive head rolled away from the body a few yards.

Cole dragged himself away from the akuma's corpse, back towards where Sira was, before ripping off his tattered right sleeve and deactivating his innocence to get a better look at the damage done to his arm. Immediately he swore loudly, and began attempting to hold his arm completely still. Though he hadn't realized it at the time, his gauntlet had been acting as a makeshift splint while his weapon had been activated. His whole forearm was black and blue, and he winced at the sight. "That wasn't something I've ever seen before." He muttered. "C'mon, Sira. The mission isn't over yet, we still need to find the innocence, and I need to get a doctor from that town to fix me up so we can get back to it." He spoke tiredly, walking slowly so as not to disturb his arm on the same route Christian had taken back towards the town.

Sira skidded to a halt, taking aim with her weapon as Cole struck. She had to admire her partner's power, and endurance, first Hitting something as solid as a boulder with a quite possible broken arm, and proceeding to knock something so huge onto the ground with the same attack. "I guess he wasn't kidding..." she muttered. He had told her that he would've beaten her if they ever had a serious fight. Remembering what she was supposed to be doing, she began firing at the huge akuma laid out on the ground with her weapon. However, she stopped as soon as Cole began his attack. "You've gotta be kidding me!" She said incredulously. Her partner was simply going to town on the akuma's throat, even with his badly hurt arm. There's no way that level of endurance is normal, she thought, staring as the Akuma's head rolled a few yards away as Cole delivered the final blow.

She watched with concerned interest as Cole tore his sleeve off and deactivated his innocence, stifling a gasp as she saw the damage done. His forearm was entirely covered in brusies, and from the way he was handling it it seemed it was broken. Judging by his cursing, it also seemed to be causing a large amount of pain. She stared at him increadulously as he started away from her, following the Same Path as Christian had towards the small town they were staying in. Her jaw dropped as Cole spoke to her. "Are you serious?!" She yelled, catching up with him. "You're in no condition to fight, you should be sent back to Headquarters!" She exclaimed.

The sudden silence outside reminded Christian he was not alone. "Oh right...them
Exorcists... if their Innocence disappeared without a trace they might get suspicious."

Sighing, he grinned down at the little thing he held in his hand. "Looks like your lucky
day, si?"

Pocketing the beetle, he stepped outside of the house only to see the remains of the
juggernaut of an Akuma and two very battered Exorcists a ways off-especially Cole.

"Cosa c' , Signore Shenson? Are you okay?" Christian inquired approaching. He gave
his jumper a little tug, remembering the stained area where his stigmata had appeared.

Cole stared at Sira, raising an eyebrow at her. She actually seems concerned about me. He thought, amused. That certainly was a change from her usual attitude towards him. He sighed at her next words though. She really was new at this, after all. "I'm perfectly serious. There should be a doctor in this town who can bandage me up enough that I can at least walk normally. Besides, the point of this mission is to find innocence, not to fight." He said, deciding to overlook the fact that the Earl's minions would be after the innocence as well as they would. But, he was an optomist at heart, so that was all well and good as long as they could get the innocence and go.

Cole looked away from Sira, back down the way they were heading, and was shocked to see Christian stepping out the front door of a house, his hair looking a bit windswept, with a few small bloodstains on his shirt, centering around his left shoulder, which was covered by a jumper. "Me? I'm okay, great actually." He said wincing as he stepped on a bump in the road that moved his arm awkwardly. "What about you? It looks like you're bleeding a bit." He said, pointing at his shoulder. "Is there another one of the akuma in that building?" He asked, wondering if that could be what had hurt him. "If so, Sira's gonna have to take care of them for ya, I'm clocked out for the day." He chuckled.
